Boot Scapes

Guy Tarrant is an Artist and Art Teacher who has recently retired from teaching due to ill health. He takes daily walks to aid recovery. During these walks he regularly takes photo snapshots of objects/occurrences that he comes across, which literally cause him to stop in his tracks. Photos are taken using a regular camera-phone. Due to suffering depression the artist is constantly looking down at foot-level. Photos are portrait oriented, observing a formal appearance overall. Objects are not tampered with but found naturally on the pavement.

Participants are encouraged to send images with feet kept in shot, same footwear throughout if possible. To add label title, name, year date and location (e.g. Guy Tarrant/ Dartford (London Fringe), 2024. The aim is for people to observe their local surroundings in a different manner.

Please take care when photographing, stopping suddenly without caution could cause problems with other pedestrians or passing traffic.
